A BOWDEN IN DURHAM?

Oh, no! Not another one…

Terry Bowden, son of FSU icon Bobby and brother of Clemson head man Tommy, is interested in coaching at Duke.

According to Bowden, "All I would want to say is that I'm very interested in any program where I feel like I would be a good fit, where there was a need I could fill. If that means a place that has never won seven games before, then I'd like to help them win seven games. If that means a place that has never won a championship before, then I'd like to help them a win a championship."

Perfect.

(Rumor has it that seven game winner Steve Spurrier, who is consulting Duke AD Joe Alleva on the hire has endorsed a four year contract for Bowden and scheduled his Gamecocks to play the Blue Devils in 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011.)

If there are any Duke football fans who aren’t already chronically depressed, they are now…
