MORE SATURDAY FOOTBALL

VIRGINIA TECH 44, MIAMI 14
Branden Ore ran for two touchdowns, both times plowing over a Miami defender to get to the end zone, and No. 10 Virginia Tech beat Miami 44-14 on Saturday in the Hokies' final tuneup for a huge game with rival Virginia next weekend.

Virginia Tech (9-2, 6-1 ACC) moved into a share of first place in the Coastal Division with Virginia. The teams will play on Saturday in Charlottesville with the winner moving on to the conference championship game Dec. 1.

WAKE FOREST 38, NC STATE 18
Riley Skinner threw two touchdown passes, including a momentum-shifting 62-yarder to Jordan Williams that led Wake Forest past North Carolina State 38-18 on Saturday night.

FLORIDA STATE 24, MARYLAND 16
Bobby Bowden won his 300th game at Florida State, getting 133 yards rushing and a touchdown from Preston Parker in a 24-16 victory against Maryland on Saturday. Florida State (7-4, 4-4 Atlantic Coast Conference) clinched a 31st consecutive winning season, while Maryland (5-6, 2-5 ACC) needs a win at North Carolina State next week just to become bowl eligible.

GEORGIA TECH 27, NORTH CAROLINA 25
Travis Bell atoned for an earlier miss by kicking a 27-yard field goal with 15 seconds left as Georgia Tech overcame four lost fumbles to beat North Carolina 27-25 on Saturday.

The Tar Heels had taken advantage of quarterback Taylor Bennett's second fumble to go ahead 25-24 with 5:50 remaining (their only lead of the game).
