THE RIDDLE WATCH

Scott Riddle threw for 354 yards and four touchdowns and ran for another score Saturday night as Elon held off Western Carolina to take a 38-36 Southern Conference victory.

Riddle hit Terrell Hudgins for two of his four scoring passes, the second of which was a 25-yard strike . riddle has now thrown for over 300 yards in each of his last four starts. His four touchdown passes equaled his career-high performance in a Phoenix victory over Liberty last month. He leads the Southern Confrence and ranks high among the country’s NCAA-I FBS leaders in completions (1st/30.2 per game), points responsible for (second/22.4 per game), passing yards (fourth/320.2 per game) and total yards (sixth/321.8 per game).

He was named the Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Riddle has completed 151 of his 223 attempts for 1,601 yards, 14 touchdowns and just five interceptions.
