According to our boys at Wikipedia, it's a public university in Alpine, TX. It is named for former Texas governor, Civil War hero, and patriot Lawrence Sullivan Ross. It was founded in 1917 as Sul Ross Normal College and was made a full U. in 1969. SRSU has 2,090 students.
