ACC CHOKES YET AGAIN

In front of the largest crowd to ever witness a college baseball game in Lexington, VMI posted a 5-2 win over #3 Virginia at Gray-Minor Stadium, marking the highest-ranked opponent the Keydets have ever defeated on the diamond. The win brings the Keydets’ record to 22-8 on the season, while the Cavaliers fall to 27-6. It was the Keydets’ first win over the Cavaliers since April 13, 1995.

In their previous two games, VMI edged Rockbridge County High School 8-7, and Lylburn Downing Middle School 2-1. In its next game, the Keydets fell to Virginia Tech 13-6.
